We believe the next industrial champions will come from the great research universities. We also believe they remain out of reach for many.

Since 2020, the Rutland Foundation has worked to widen access to those universities.

It funds the Rutland Teachers' Award and Schools' Award, with the English Speaking Union, reaching students long before they apply. In addition, the Foundation awards an annual prize for the most original young minds at the OX1 Incubator, now in its fifth year and co-sponsored by Oxford University.
